Why the Democrats Lose
<p>I have voted for Democrats my entire adult life, beginning with the election of 1976. I was raised in a Democratic household. Both of my parents were New Deal Democrats and thought Franklin Roosevelt was the best president ever to serve. My dad worked in a unionized factory and served as president of the local for years. We were “yellow dog Democrats.”</p>
<p>When I look at today’s Democratic Party, I am looking at a party that doesn’t seem to know how to win anymore. Even when they win, they lose. Despite the fact more people identify with the Democrats than Republicans, the Republicans seem to win at nearly every juncture. Nothing demonstrates this better than the 6–3 conservative majority in the Supreme Court. The question that needs to be asked is this.</p>
