India — Getting about in Delhi, India

There are many ways to get around in India, and the two I used the most were taxis and auto-rickshaws. The one thing I avoided was any lift involving a motorbike.

Taxis

The taxis I took from my hotel were generally good as they seemed to know where I wanted to go, although they tended to take slightly odd, and always longer, routes. (Don’t they know their passengers sit in the back, running Google Maps?). Taxis do at least use the meter. And you should check that they turn it on.
