In Defense of Defense Attorneys

I recently attended Crimecon 2023 (more articles on that later, but it was super interesting). For those that don’t know, Crimecon is a convention that brings together the public, victims or their families, reporters, and police investigators to talk about all things true crime. As a reformed criminal attorney (90 percent on the prosecution side), I loved it. Except for one thing…. There was a panel with defense attorneys who came to speak to the crowd. They were met with tension and what can only be described as extreme rudeness.
