Road to the Dead Sea: My Journey to Israel

Mytrip to Israel was something I had been planning ever since I first started studying abroad in college. My goal was to go to all three major monotheistic holy sites: Jerusalem, the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Dome of the Rock; Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus; and Masada, where Jewish warriors held off against Roman legions. As an added bonus, I wanted to check out some of Israel’s natural wonders, including the Dead Sea and Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.

Arrival in Israel

I arrived in Israel late at night, after a long flight Germany. I was met at the airport by my tour guide, who took me to my hotel in Tel Aviv. The next morning, I woke up early and went for a walk on the beach. The water was so clear and blue, and the sand was so white. I couldn’t believe I was finally here!

Website
