<p>Since the spring of 2018, I have written so many stories about abuse—and in particular, sexual and spiritual abuse—but it's so incredibly rare to write a follow-up announcing that justice was served.</p>
<p>Rape and spiritual abuse are crimes that are so rarely punished. Not only on a legal level, of course, but simply on a social or professional level.</p>
<p>A victim could have a plethora of evidence against their abuser, yet still have to watch that criminal prosper and walk freely as if nothing ever happened.</p>
