Creating GitHub Repository — Airbnb#002

If you read my introduction to this project you may have noticed I had there a link to my Github repository for this project. I named it Airbnb_in_Rio and you can find it here.

I started by cloning the repo on my PC (more specifically in my HD) and then tried to upload every dataset. It didn’t work. The files calendar.csv and reviews.csv are over 100Mb and cannot be uploaded to Github. The file listings.csv is over 50Mb and triggered a warning as well. I was surprised to understand the value of the summarized versions of the datasets so early. In the end, I just uploaded listings_summary.csv (the name I gave to the file), neighborhoods.csv, and revies_summary.csv. I’m not yet sure if I’m going to have problems with that in the future so keep an eye on this with me. My repo, after push, looked like this:
