<p><em>Senior moments</em>: That time, I was looking all over the house for my glasses that were perched atop my head — that’s hilarious. That’s a <em>senior moment</em>, as well as all those times I found myself standing in a room wondering why the hell I went in there.</p>
<p>It’s healthy to make fun of ourselves, but young people have forgetful moments, too. So let’s not overdo it and become the butt of our own senior moment jokes.</p>
<p>I am redefining “senior moment.”</p>
<p>It’s not a lapse in memory — it’s an awakening. <em>It’s when you decide you’re not a walking, talking old-age stereotype. You’re not a cute little old man or a sweet old lady</em>.</p>
