The Countryside is a Cage

When I first moved to the countryside from the city two years ago, I was so excited to live in a more natural setting.

Before living in the city, I grew up in a fairly rural town and spent much time in the countryside. Some of my best friends were the sons and daughters of farming families, and I even ended up helping out on the farm some days. I’m no stranger to the realities of modern farming.

However, over the past two years, I’ve spent hundreds of hours exploring the land around me and photographing whatever I find, not on farms but out in the fields and among the small patches of woodland and ‘untouched’ land in between.
