COPACABANA BEACH IN RIO DE JANEIRO.

Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach is one of the world’s most recognised beaches. Everyone wants to pay him a visit, and everyone is smitten by him. That wasn’t always the case, though.People used to think of Copacabana as an uninhabitable and unhealthy sandy location in the nineteenth century. Fishermen and their families were the only ones who lived there. The Alaor Prata Tunnel, which connects Copacabana and downtown Rio, was erected by the government in 1892. Later, in the early twentieth century, a tram route connected Copacabana to other Rio de Janeiro areas. People began to flock to Rio’s southern reaches, enamoured by the white beach, azure ocean, cool wind, and perfect weather .The Copacabana Beach promenade is the world’s most famous promenade. Mayor Pereira Passos began construction in 1906. He drew inspiration for the design from Rocio’s Square in Lisbon. All of the stones used to construct Copacabana’s promenade were imported from Portugal.
