Controversial conversations: How in the world is Luka Doncic not the MVP favorite?
<p>Recently, there usually isn’t a large debate about whether the previous MVPs in about the last decade or so deserved it. A fair share of people were pressed about Joel Embiid winning it last year, but that’s all I can remember. The NBA does a very good job picking the most deserving player to win the MVP award. Heck, they need to know because there’s only one right answer every year who’s the best player of that season.</p>
<p>This is not the case as of this year, however. It’s certainly much tighter this season, as Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander most likely will be the finalists for the league’s most valuable player this season. And by the looks of it, Jokic is the heavy favorite to win his third MVP in the last four seasons.</p>
