Dutch Colorful Tradition
<p>It’s that time of the year: Carnival! The official start date is the 11th of November, falling on a Friday this year.</p>
<p>So, what is Carnival? In short, it’s the day when the concept of “normal” goes out the window.</p>
<p>In my youth, my introduction to Carnival was through Brazilian dancing shows on TV. So, my initial Carnival experience here in the Netherlands felt like diving into the ocean, learning to swim or sink.</p>
<p>Over the years, I’ve learned to appreciate the music and creativity embraced during Carnival, especially the parades.</p>
