<p>In1999,&nbsp;<strong>Moira Smith</strong>&nbsp;helped volunteer at a high-powered Washington, D.C.-area dinner party attended by some political luminaries. As she was setting out plates and silverware, the then 24-year-old recent Georgetown University graduate felt an unwanted hand on her buttocks.</p> <p>She said it was Supreme Court Justice&nbsp;<strong>Clarence Thomas</strong>, who had been on the court since 1991 following a controversial confirmation hearing in which former colleague&nbsp;<strong>Anita Hill</strong>&nbsp;accused him of sexual harassment.
