The Real Threat to America is Not Islam, It’s Christian Nationalism
<p>It was Christian nationalism that just <a href="https://www.npr.org/2022/06/24/1102305878/supreme-court-abortion-roe-v-wade-decision-overturn" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">overturned <em>Roe v. Wade </em></a>and removed women’s constitutionally protected rights. Christian nationalism is now threatening to <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/24/roe-v-wade-supreme-court-justice-thomas-says-gay-rights-rulings-open-to-be-tossed.html" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">come after marriage equality and the right to use contraceptives</a>. Christian nationalism has just ensured that the current generation of Americans is the first one to have fewer rights than previous ones. Christian nationalism made it <a href="https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/21pdf/20-843_7j80.pdf" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">easier to be a gun in America</a> than a woman or a kid in school trying to survive a school shooting. Christian nationalism is <a href="https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/21pdf/20-1088_dbfi.pdf" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">eroding the separation of church and state</a> in favor of those Christians who agree with its destructive theology. Tragically, Christian nationalism has become the greatest enemy of Jesus and Christianity itself and is ensuring a generation of young people actively leave the faith entirely. Christian leaders in America have emerged to loudly condemn Christian nationalism as an aberration of their faith and a<a href="https://www.christiansagainstchristiannationalism.org/statement" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank"> “persistent threat to both our religious communities and democracy.”</a></p>
