Flamy Grant is a “shame-slaying, hip-swaying, singing, songwriting drag queen” who served as a worship leader for 22 years before she started doing drag. She describes her song Good Day as “an uplifting anthem for anyone who has felt excluded by the church,” adding that “Evangelicals do not own God. They don’t have the keys to heaven. And you don’t have to play by their rules to be Christian”.

Her debut album Bible Belt Baby came out last year and is currently charting at number one on the Christian music charts following a tense Twitter exchange with an evangelical worship leader.
