Canna-colonialism in Africa

<p>Over the last several years, there has been an increase of articles reporting of the &ldquo;legalisation of cannabis&rdquo; in some African countries. Usually, this reported is with little reference to the facts, and, given the fact that &ldquo;cannabis&rdquo; and &ldquo;legalised&rdquo; appear in the same sentence, is hailed as a great leap forward for all humanity. What&rsquo;s more, at least in the white segments of European and North American countries, it is reported with a sort of patronising, &ldquo;look how progressive Africa is&rdquo; tone.</p> <p>The complexities of drug legislation are manifold.
