California Remains Number One In Cargo Theft For The Year 2022
<p>CargoNet, a cargo theft prevention and recovery network released new data encompassing 2022 supply chain theft incidents with a recorded 1,778 supply chain events across the United States and Canada in 2022, an increase of 15% from 2021. They estimate $223 million in cargo was stolen across all theft events in 2022. California remained the top dog with a 41% year-over-year increase!</p>
<p>According to the data “California remained the top state for reported events in 2022 and theft in the state increased 41% year-over-year with 74% of fictitious cargo pickups occurring in California. Computer and green energy components were some of the most frequently stolen items of the year” CargoNet.</p>
