My intention in writing this piece is not to try to convert but rather to share what I have come to understand of the practice of Buddhism as it applies to me. It has helped me to grow and become a better person, more in touch with myself in relation to others and to life.

Also, these lessons helped me maintain my sanity in supporting my husband Gregory (RIP) through our twelve year journey on his Dementia/Alzheimer’s path.

From the beginning of the practice of Buddhism in ancient times (593 BC –436 BC) up to today, there have been many approaches and interpretations of what it means to be a Buddhist.
