Brazilian Food Love

I cannot lie. If there is one association I have with Brazil, so greatly engrained in me, it is the food. From carne picada to coxinha to churrasco, the food is ever-present and always there on my mind. Brazilians are known in the West for two major things: knowing how to party… and knowing how to cook.

I have never been much of a chef myself though I fry a mean burger and a delicious penne when time allows it. When I moved into our apartment a few days ago, my future mother-in-law gifted us with bountiful frozen containers of her home cooking that we could easily recook to save us time as we prepare ourselves and our careers to switch to domestic life together. It has, of course, been a life-saver, but I am always astounded by how delicious a simple rice and bean combo is.
