Books, Bombs, and Betrayals
<p>l can’t get the al-Azhar University airstrike footage¹ out of my head.</p>
<p>I keep thinking about what that means to me as a Jew when I say that "Israel" and Zionism are inherently unJewish².</p>
<p>It's far from the only example.</p>
<p>But it's a very good one.</p>
<p>Every Jewish person I know has a reverence for learning. It’s part of our culture. It’s literally part of our religion. Jewish children are not taught, as a rule, to take in Judaism and how it applies to life on someone else’s say-so.</p>
