<p>Cooperation between mothers and fathers in raising offspring has always been a point of conflict in nature. Parenting requires investment with each parent paying a cost of lost opportunity in mating with others and increasing their reproductive fitness[1].</p> <p>In the case of human societies, we may have resolved this conflict by opting for monogamous mating structures where both parents will be equally involved in raising kids.
