Berklee Gizz
<p>In my fashion, diet has been going strong since the New Years. With Desert Daze and then Forest Hills with the future holding Boston Calling and Tennessee Gizz promises, I have held on to refraining from listening to much of the extensive Aussie catalogue the six masters have been outputting. Seeing students perform this music was no problem in me “breaking” this diet. It is live music. I will sleep at night knowing the ritual is still pure.</p>
<p>By happenstance my parents were visiting, so getting them to experience this was a no brainer. Hell, I needed to show them just why I was so fucking broke to begin with. My exposure to Berklee has been mostly through jazz and blues with the occasional Cory Wong crowd work or Tomo Fujita appearance with funk powerhouse Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. Seeing students play in full however, was a different story. Most of those I know had gone to Berklee, not currently enrolled.</p>
