Be Late for Something Day 2023–Celebrated with Mixed Results

<p><strong>Live Feed from Radio Station KRAZ:&nbsp;</strong>Confusion erupted as some sectors of mainstream America struggled to embrace this heretofore lesser-known holiday.</p> <p>Basic Type A people gave the very concept deaf ears and blind eyes.</p> <p>Several of them were treated at local emergency rooms for minor injuries&ndash;-busted noses and black eyes from running into buildings and telephone poles. A few with serious concussions are still under observation.</p> <p>A smaller number of folks sustained debilitating fractures from their inability to hear honking horns or see oncoming traffic when so hell-bent on getting to school or work on time they attempted to jaywalk.</p> <p>And more than one reporter was pushed to the ground when attempting to interview one of these hustlers.</p> <h2><strong>On Another Note&ndash;Commuters faired better.</strong></h2> <p>Those who actually read the memo took their time getting ready for work. Hence rush hour traffic was record-breakingly light.</p> <p>However, the temptation was too great.</p> <p>Some of those same commuters were unable to resist the unclogged roads and got in their cars in spite of their initial interest in the festivities.
