Barbie Movie: Influential or Overrated?

Raking in a whopping 1.34 billion US dollars worldwide, this movie’s popularity has skyrocketed both before and after its release in children and adults alike. Much of its popularity has been tied to its message of the implications of patriarchy in the real world and thus the impact this message has had on the audience and on our society as a whole. While some argue that this film has been highly influential and revolutionary in conveying a strong feminist message, some argue that its efforts have fallen short.</p>
