Arabs and the West

As someone who is neither a Muslim nor an Arab, I approach the topic of Arabs and the West with a certain degree of detachment. However, I must add that I come from a country with a history of discriminating against Arabs, particularly after World War I. The relationship between Christianity and Islam is often portrayed as an unending state of hostility. Still, this notion is far from the truth. Muslims hold high esteem for the Holy Bible, which is contrary to the idea of a fundamental clash between the two religions.
