‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ is an Allegorical Demonstration of Privilege, Equity & The Myth of Meritocracy.

<p>Dystopian TV shows and movies such as Black Mirror, The Hunger Games and Squid Game have garnered major attention in the zeitgeist, spurring discussions surrounding the eerie parallels that mirror society back to us from our screens.</p> <p>Since the success of the Korean dystopian 9-episode series landed on Netflix in 2021, the creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has launched a competitive reality version of the show, fit with robotically emotionless guards, recreated life-size sets and a record-breaking life changing cash-prize of $4.56m USD.
