14 Things I’ll Miss About Israel

<p>On one of my last nights in Tel Aviv, my cousin and I went to dinner and he asked me what I will miss about Israel. It&rsquo;s a difficult question to answer. This is a place I have visited 14 times &mdash; giving a whole new meaning to the term &ldquo;second home.&rdquo; In fact, one of my favorite memories is celebrating Israel&rsquo;s 50th anniversary in Jerusalem with my family. It happened to coincide with my 5th birthday and the city came to life: music and decorations filled the streets and I felt like a mini Golda Meir.</p> <p>At the age of 23, I have seen this country from many angles. In addition to the weddings, bar-mitzvahs, and youth programs, I have had the privilege of touring with Holocaust survivors and volunteering as an EMT in Jerusalem. Most recently, I got a sneak peek of the future while working as an analyst at a Tel Aviv investment boutique this year.
