How Abortion Activists Are Targeting 2024 for the Win
<p>In a press release dated October 18, 2022, Ms. Magazine executive editor <a href="https://msmagazine.com/news/new-survey-concern-over-abortion-and-equal-rights-top-inflation-by-22-points-as-main-drivers-of-young-womens-vote-in-battleground-states/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Katherine Spillar</a> stated, “The overturning of Roe v. Wade lit a fire under women voters, especially young women voters, who have the power to determine close elections.”</p>
<p>Spillar was responding to a <em>Ms</em>. magazine and Feminist Majority Foundation poll by Lake Research Partners in 2022.</p>
<p>The poll found that <a href="https://msmagazine.com/news/new-survey-concern-over-abortion-and-equal-rights-top-inflation-by-22-points-as-main-drivers-of-young-womens-vote-in-battleground-states/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">55% of young women voters</a> across abortion battleground states aged 18–29 are highly motivated to vote on important issues related to abortion, reproductive and women’s rights. They consider those issues equal with their concerns about inflation and rising prices.</p>
