Over the summer, the City of Toronto and Alta Canada took home the ITE Canada Stan Teply award for their work on the York University Protected Intersection and Cycling Connections project— which includes the first protected intersection in Toronto.
And just last month, the next round of Safe Streets for All Demonstration and Implementation grant awards was announced, with $10 million going to the City of El Paso, Texas, for impactful change that will make roads safer, especially for the City’s most vulnerable road users.
