In a nutshell, it’s a story about a lad being too eager to do his job right. I mean, nothing’s wrong with doing you job right, job well done, no matter what job, pleases the Lord, or so the saying goes at least. Then again, as they said in ‘The Wire’ (I think it was the old Jimmy McNulty): As beat cops, we have the greatest power in the US — we can approach, we can challenge, or we can look the other way. How do you know when to do what though? — you learn it from experience.
