Rain Happens in Different Forms

The Greedy man said
Thank you, God,
It rained money all night long
He analyzed everything but
Did not learn to dance along
He kept counting the money
But forgot to taste the honey

He breathed his last while sleeping
On a bed piled high with cash
To keep him company
There was only loneliness

The Sinner then said
Thank you, God,
For washing my sins in
Your sweet love and my tears

Stepping out of his house
He said to himself with
A malicious smirk on his lips
Of course, I am a new man
Who has no regrets or fears

The Poor farmer said
Thank you, God,
For letting my crops drink water
We have both been thirsty for
As long as I can remember

With the breeze came a fresh sun
Adorned with hope and thanks
And the crops and his heart danced
