Covid-19 brought one of the most exciting sci-fi technologies to reality- the metaverse. On the 28th of October, 2021. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO, and Founder of Facebook made an announcement that Facebook is changing its name to Meta. This news sparked a lot of debate and generated a lot of attention, suddenly the whole online atmosphere was filled with chants of the metaverse.
I even wrote my first article on the metaverse. A few years down the line, COVID-19 is almost non-existent and suddenly talks of the metaverse stopped; it went as fast as it came.
What exactly happened to the metaverse? Is this another case of putting the cart before the horse or do people just prefer one-to-one communication?

If you are hearing this term for the first term, the Metaverse can be said to be an advanced form of virtual reality; a world where you can create anything you dare to think of; a world where you can hang out with friends and acquaintances from anywhere in the world; a world where you are the creator of your surrounding; you are the artist and your surrounding is the canvas.
