Korea’s traditional musical storytelling, called “Pansori,” is becoming more popular internationally.
Four artists from different countries will perform “Pansori” alongside their teacher, Min Hye-sung, in an event called “Global Heungboga.”
The event will take place this Sunday at the National Gugak Center in Seoul.
It coincides with the 60th anniversary of Pansori being named an important part of Korea’s cultural heritage.
The four international performers are Anna Yates-Lu from Germany, Laure Mafo and Victorine Vlavo from France, and Alishahpour Dehshikhi Mahur from Iran.
