Firstly though, what is a Heritage Consultant and what do we do? A heritage consultant is a professional, usually with a background in history, history of art or archaeology, who provides an understanding of what is important about a historic place and advises on the conservation of or alteration to that place. Our work is wide-ranging, but essentially encompasses historic research, building analysis, significance assessment, heritage impact assessment and a range of heritage advice.
