With all the impending changes in personal transportation, many questions have been raised as to the viability of a worldwide transition to exclusively electric vehicles. Batteries have severely lacked adequate technical development mostly due to the perks associated with planned obsolescence in modern tech products, not to mention the ethical pit that is the mining industry required for gathering the necessary materials for modern batteries (lithium, cobalt, etc.). It has been said that there are not enough resources on the planet to replace every car with an EV, raising the question of what will happen when we inevitably phase out the combustion engine?
