Oftentimes, those of us who are aware of the social injustices around us; the people who sympathize with others and are continually mastering the art of being as inclusive as possible with our language, the ones who put their pronouns in their Twitter bios, and the ones labeled “SJWs” are accused of looking too hard into things. We’re told that we read too deeply into a meaning or a bias that does not exist. We’re “too woke.” We’re “one of those” because we’re able to clock the fallout, legacy and dynamic of white supremacy in seemingly every little action, depiction, note and narrative. We see “the big scary R word” in every little thing. PC culture has seemingly invaded our collective left leaning psyches and seeks to punish every one for every thing they’ve ever thought. We’re policing thoughts now.
