Writing has given me a good life, as well as a memorable one. Over the past 39 years, I have hopped from one literary adventure to another, and encountered scores of people with a fascinating story to tell.
My subjects have spanned both time and the four corners of society. I’ve listened to Gen. Tommy Franks speak of the hunt for Osama Bin Laden at Tora Bora … heard Mildred Cleghorn recall her first memories of freedom at age four as a former Chiricahua Apache prisoner of war in 1914 … and remember retired New York Yankees shortstop Frank Crosetti talk about witnessing Babe Ruth’s “Called Shot” in the 1933 World Series. Thankfully, the list goes on.
