Kabuki-cho in geography
Kabuki-cho is located northeast of Shinjuku Station and is approximately 600 meters square.
Although the area is small, the number of stores is much larger than the area itself, with more than 1,000 restaurants, hotels, and entertainment facilities crammed into it. It is a small town with a very high density of stores and people, with several buildings containing stores lining the narrow streets.

So what made this a special town? It goes back to the Edo period, which started in 1603. Initially, this town was an inn town, an accommodation town used for long-distance travel.
