Once there was a town they called Dun Eidieann.
It was built around a castle on a hill.
The town grew south and east and west but not north
Because of what was at the bottom of the hill.
So they built an artificial lake out of that bottom.
And then threw trash and even bodies down the hill.
And Loch Nor soon became a sewer.
So they drained the lake and built an artificial hill.
Then they went to work on building Georgian New Town
And placed their monuments on Calton Hill.
And then they thought they would extend the Glasgow railroad.
So they tunneled through that artificial hill.
