Quora is a popular online forum where people can crowdsource answers to their burning questions. While there are many valid questions and responses, it also shines a light on how ridiculous people are.
I get an email from Quora once or twice a day with a rundown of the most popular questions/answers. I have picked out a handful from the recent past that I had to read a few times to believe. Either these people are lacking in intelligence, or they’re punking the entire online community.
Here are some of the strange questions I’ve come across lately that caught my eye:
Q: Should I let my 13-year-old daughter have her 19-year-old boyfriend over to spend the night in her room?
I mean, do you really have to ask this question as a parent? No good will ever come from this. You will also be willingly supporting child exploitation–your own child.
Not surprisingly, those who replied on the forum had similar sentiments.
A top response to this question reads, “That depends. What’s the plan? While he is sleeping you bring a police officer to the house and he arrests him on the spot. Because that’s the only thing I makes (sic) sense.”
Q: My 15-year-old stepdaughter told me to wash her back in the shower. What should I do?
Um. What? Why would she want this? And why would you even consider it, unless she has some kind of disability that prevents her from washing herself?
