In the beginning

Born the oldest of five, a young Samoan boy is brought into the world at Queen Mary Hospital in Dunedin, New Zealand at 6.26 am, Thursday 29 July 1982. Unbeknown to this human being without sight or sound, he joined the world presented with album releases from Aretha Franklin, Billy Idol, Jermaine Jackson, Kenny Rodgers and the Pointer Sisters just to name a few.

This day happened to also be the 1st year anniversary of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding. As Maggie and Enoka (Victor) Latulipe-Tupu, my mother and father, had visitors popping into see their new cousin, nephew or family member, I imagine there’s talk of the wedding anniversary as propaganda would be plastered on most screens about the Royals like any other day. 1982 or 2017, the media seems to be the place for everything no one needs to know has to be seen. If you want to learn something that you dont need to, turn on your TV.
