That First Trip To New York City
<p>As soon as I stepped out of my cab mid evening on the corner of 86th and 1st a couple of days after Christmas in 1998, at the impressionable young age of 22, I felt my adrenaline soar. The energy, the noise, the lights, the people, and all those buildings.</p>
<p>My friend had been living on the Upper East Side of Manhattan since we graduated from high school in ’95 and talked me into a 10 day trip to celebrate NYE in NYC, to bring in 1999.</p>
