Our New Year’s Resolutions
<p>Over the summer, the City of Toronto and Alta Canada took home the ITE Canada Stan Teply award for their work on the <a href="https://blog.altaplanning.com/torontos-first-protected-intersection-serves-as-a-blueprint-for-a-safer-greener-future-4bfd72307b59" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">York University Protected Intersection and Cycling Connections</a> project— which includes the first protected intersection in Toronto.</p>
<p>And just last month, the next round of Safe Streets for All <a href="https://blog.altaplanning.com/ss4a-demonstration-and-implementation-grant-awards-announced-and-what-it-means-for-communities-8e18290d5c63" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Demonstration and Implementation grant awards was announced</a>, with $10 million going to the City of El Paso, Texas, for impactful change that will make roads safer, especially for the City’s most vulnerable road users.</p>
