The Man and the (Tel Aviv) Sea — and some World Order contemplations [Part 2]

Friday 08:45, kind of cloudy sky and the sea is low-med 0.5m, clean but not clear water, 30c water temp, light southern current, no jellyfish. As usual started at Dogs’ beach and after 3min realized I probably haven’t drank enough water to sustain me for more than an hour in this August Mediterranean. I swam on anyhow, encouraged by making a game theory risk-calculation (post-Doc with T. Schelling, after all) in which the option of being wallowed in by the salty Jacuzzi was all but crossed out.

North to the Port Entrance where I enjoyed the slightly cooler water and then back south to Hilton bay and beaching at Dogs’. 80min swim (2 short service stops), no special encounters, finished by usurping the dogs’ washing water pipe (good for drinking) and ignoring the beasts’ owners grimacing. At Micha was closed on account of a vacation (Maldives?), so I made do with a tasty Shakshuka in Shlomo’s falafel.
