God Had a Wife…and She Was Stacked!

Just as the Greeks and Romans shared deities, and how a Macedonian brought Greek culture to Africa, cultures mixed in the ancient world. It was a somewhat slower pace than today’s transmission of fads, as they lacked the internet and Tik-Tok, but still they managed.

The people of the Levant shared a pantheon of Gods, with El at the top and Yahweh as one of his children. Over time Yahweh became the primary god of the Hebrew people. Asherah apparently was the mother goddess and wife of El, but as Yahweh became more prominent she became known as his wife. It might be worth noting, that as randy as Zeus was portrayed in Greek myth there is no mention of any assignations with his mother Gaia. Though if you know of any, please drop them in the comments.
