<p>Recently, a friend shared a cool story about her manager &mdash; He&rsquo;s great at his job and has been with his company for close to 10 years.</p> <p>Even though they&rsquo;ve tried to promote him multiple times, he always says no.</p> <p>When she asked him why, he simply said, &ldquo;I value the time with my family and friends more than an extra few thousand dollars. I&rsquo;m content with where I am.&rdquo;</p> <p>It got me thinking. I&rsquo;m kind of the same way. I&rsquo;ve had chances to climb up the job ladder, but I always hesitate.</p> <p>Some might think I&rsquo;m just scared. Or that I don&rsquo;t have big dreams. But that&rsquo;s not it.</p> <p>For me, it&rsquo;s all about knowing what I really want in life.
