Why are the libs wrong about everything?
Progressivism (also called “liberalism” today in US English) began during the French Revolution.
The progressists wanted to deconstruct the established order to give people two things:
- Freedom (liberté)
- Equality (égalité)
So far, so good.
Once freedom had been established, the work of the progressists was technically over. They could retire.
But they did not.
The purpose of an ideology, like a species, is to survive.
Once the libs had hit their target, they had to look for new ones or they would disappear.
The freedom they gained did not lead to the perfect equality they hoped for but gave birth to a meritocratic hierarchy.
This is one of the most important consequences of a free society: the most deserving elements rise to the top.
