A Personal Message for Current and Future White Moms ??? Part 2

“I don’t understand why I should have any responsibility for things that happened centuries before I was born. It’s not my job to fix racism and personally, I feel attacked when someone approaches me to talk about my so-called ‘privilege.’ It’s like I’m a victim of reverse racism but there aren’t any support groups or movements to help me deal with that.”

This is a statement from a White woman that I had an unintentional discussion with about racism.

The conversation began on the topic of workplace issues and drifted to the equity and inclusion initiatives that began popping up in corporate America during the pandemic.
