A Personal Message for Current and Future White Moms — Part 2
<p><em>“I don’t understand why I should have any responsibility for things that happened centuries before I was born. It’s not my job to fix racism and personally, I feel attacked when someone approaches me to talk about my so-called ‘privilege.’ It’s like I’m a victim of reverse racism but there aren’t any support groups or movements to help me deal with that.”</em></p>
<p>This is a statement from a White woman that I had an unintentional discussion with about racism.</p>
<p>The conversation began on the topic of workplace issues and drifted to the equity and inclusion initiatives that began popping up in corporate America during the pandemic.</p>
