Why The Wealthy Dress Differently From You
<p>Recently, I went to a restaurant for a quick review piece with my husband. I was looking around and noticed something pretty unusual. My husband and I had silently co-opted some of the styles of the wealthy in our area.</p>
<p>It wasn’t an overt or even conscious choice. It just kind of happened when we started to walk away from the rave scene — and it’s much more apparent with my husband than it is with me. (I’m a little too eccentric to ever fully conform to fashion standards; my clothes are a canvas that I like to flaunt, too.)</p>
<p>I looked around and then noticed something stranger. There were a *lot* of people wearing khaki and navy blue pants. Granted, this was an old money hangout that’s even written in the name: the Yacht Club. But I digress.</p>
