<p>While the inevitable 2024 rematch between Biden and Trump looms large, a recent CNN article rang in the next exercise in political futility that is trying to predict the outcome of the 2028 election. That’s right. <em>The 2028 election.</em> A cornucopia of illustrious Democrats were sized up to win the 2028 Primaries from heavy hitters Vice President Kamala Harris and 2020-dreamboat-turned-Transportation-Secretary Pete Buttigieg to relatively new faces like Josh Shapiro, elected to govern Pennsylvania in 2022. The article analyzed the chances of the six contenders they view as Harris’s toughest potential opponents. But despite the geographic, gender, age, and racial diversity embodied by the figures looked at, there is one very clear, glaring oversight.</p>
