Sufism and Wahdat-al-Wujud
<p>Oh… yeah… Sufism. What I wanted to say before being side-tracked was that Wahdat-al-Wujud is essentially a Sufi doctrine not central to any sect (order or <em>tariqa</em> to be precise). As to their definitions, I’ve covered them several times. Here’s my latest <a href="https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-levels-of-Sufism-And-what-is-its-goal/answer/Mi-Ainsel-Mujahid-Mahmood?ch=10&oid=1477743703608724&share=be45736a&srid=X2THT&target_type=answer" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank"><em>answer </em></a>on general Sufism and <a href="https://www.quora.com/Is-Wahdat-al-Wujood-the-essence-of-Sufism-Of-Islam/answer/Mi-Ainsel-Mujahid-Mahmood?ch=10&oid=1477743720124221&share=0f4704e4&srid=X2THT&target_type=answer" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank"><em>another </em></a>recent one on Wahdat-al-Wujud. Sufism is essentially a sect of Islam, <a href="https://www.quora.com/Why-is-Sufism-accepted-in-the-West-more-than-the-other-branches-of-Islam/answer/Mi-Ainsel-Mujahid-Mahmood?ch=10&oid=1477743721732622&share=3abec23c&srid=X2THT&target_type=answer" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank"><em>representing </em></a>the spiritual colors of the religion while being the closest thing to an amalgamation of both philosophy and mysticism. Wahdat-al-Wujud is one of those mystical teachings, that claims that everything that we see is a part of the the Divine Reality. The idea of all that is as non-existent, while perceiving Allah Ta’ala as the True Existence is the central tenet of this belief. Effectively, it centers around the concept of “<em>everything that never was</em>” diffusing into “<em>the One that ever is</em>”, if that makes sense.</p>
